This one has been with me for a while. Kokatat supplied this Guide PFD as part of a sponsorship in 2007, and nearly 20 years later I’m still using it.

It was with me for both of my record-setting sea kayak expeditions around Vancouver Island, along with countless kilometres of paddling closer to home.

The model has long since been discontinued, but mine is still going strong — just a little faded after nearly 20 years of extended service.

That kind of longevity says more about a piece of outdoor gear than any review written after using something for a weekend ever could.
