I've had this GSI Outdoors Bugaboo Frypan in my camping kit for years, and it has seen a lot of meals in a lot of camps.

It's lightweight, easy to pack and big enough to cook a proper meal without taking up a ridiculous amount of space. I've used it on canoe trips, kayak trips, cycling trips and other backcountry camps, usually over a small camp stove.

The non-stick surface makes a big difference when you're cooking—and especially cleaning up—out in the bush. Eggs, bacon, fish, steak...this thing has cooked a bit of everything for me.

The photo above is the actual pan in use during a sea kayak trip on Lake Superior. That's exactly the kind of gear I want on this site: not something I looked up for a review, but something that's actually been in my camping kit and earned its place there.

If I wouldn't use it myself, I won't recommend it to you.
